If I ever have the opportunity to travel, I won’t just go back and score some sports magazines and such, to make myself rich; oh, no! I’d get my hands on the coolest cars and bikes of the era, and enjoy them in original form. It sounds crazy, I know, but I love classic bikes and cars: their design, their body-lines, the way they were built to last and thrill.
Putsch Racing seems to be thinking about the same things, and I’m only saying that because I got my eyes on their latest project: the Aristo-cad. The Steampunk bike shows off some interesting equipment, including functional Browning .30 cal machine guns and ammo chains, not to mention a pair of brass-handled English fighting daggers mounted on the fuel cap.
The Aristo-cad seems to capable to handle the Apocalypse, while looking totally stylish. Please note the mounted WWI-era gun sight, sourced from a Sopwith Camel biplane, and the chronometric tachometer reading off engine revs. There’s also a hunter-cased pocket watch, that opens to reveal an early 20th century porcelain face from Tiffany & Co., just in case the rider forgets his place under the sun. Additional details include an English number plate, machine-turned mechanical oil pressure gauge, and hand-aged leather seat and tool bag.
Aisde from the aesthetic, and somewhat scary features, the Aristo-cad is a functional bike. Powered by a Triumph engine, connected to a high mount racing exhaust and brass screen protected airflow though aluminum intake trumpets, this ride will give you the thrills of a lifetime. You’ll have to contact its makers, if you want to know the bike’s price. Whatever it is, I’m sure it’s worth it!
