What do Lingerie and Golf Have in Common?
A Japanese company has recently come out with a bra designed to appeal to Japanese women who enjoy golf. The new bra can be removed and set up to create a putting mat that is 1.5 M long. The bra features both pockets for extra tees and golf balls, as well as a detachable pin that serves as score-keeping pen. A skirt included with the words “Be Quiet” on the back, which incidentally doubles as a flag for use while playing. Not sure how one is supposed to cover up while their underwear is in use.
Also included in the grass-colored garment are speakers that congratulate the wearer on making a successful shot.
Generally, novelty underwear in Japan is meant to highlight or raise awareness for an issue, rather than being worn daily. This particular bra is in response to the newfound popularity of golf among Japanese women.
Previous bras of note include a “chopstick bra”, which includes of course a holder for chopsticks, and is made from miso soup ingredients and rice bowls. Also featured is the “husband hunter” bra, which features speakers and a countdown clock that stops working when an engagement ring is inserted into bra.
