[He doesn't look like he's struggling. More like he's accepted his new lot in life (for now) and has settled himself into a sitting position, chin in his hand and in the middle of her yard, staring straight ahead of him at nothing and sighing. The chicken sitting on his head is clucking merrily, however, and pecking him every time he makes a small move - eliciting a:] Dag nabbit--! Okay, okay-- gee--
Shit shit shit-
[She’s in the chicken barn, worriedly counting and recounting chickens]
I’m missing one- where the hell is Fireball?
[Shoves her way through the crowd of birds and back outside- she hoped that bird hadn’t gotten ideas from the last time they were in Oak Tree. He’d sure been ready to bust the coop then- but Citrus wasn’t Oak Tree. For one thing, there were actual wild animals here- all she’d seen in Oak Tree was birds and toads and- and-]
Fireball!
[stops, staring at the man sitting in her yard with her missing chicken sitting on his head. At least Fireball looked happy- she hadn’t seen a not-murderous look in the bird’s eye since she can’t remember]
Hey uh. Guy, I dunno if ya noticed but there’s a- ya got my hen on yer head.
The Buffest of Hens | Sara and Fritz
That washed out nancy had no idea what he was missing out on.
"Don't ya worry, chickie," She crooned to the little ball of reddish fluff in her hands. "Yer gonna find a forever home. Not with me, cause ya freak me out." She was sure it was a hen but the little thing doodled like a rooster and fought like one too. The last thing she needed was a little ginger fireball clawing out her animal's eyes- coming home from a Union Meeting to find it riding poor Koro around the yard was the last straw.
"Oh!"
She stopped in the middle of the path, staring at what... appeared to be a farm? She hoped it was a farm, anyway- the patches of developed land seemed to indicate that it was but... Goddess, what a farm.
Fireball would probably be a good fit here, the unholy terror.
"Um..." She hesitated to go in. This wasn't that Ib Key's farm, that much she was sure of. But who owned this wreck of a farm... and was it safe to go in?
"Howdy...?"
