I'm screaming I'm so excited! I had a button custom made by @identitypollution of Puzzleshipping and it came in today!!! Isn't it precious? And the gloss is beautiful! It's like little rainbows when the light hits it! The creator nailed my boys and I'm over the moon! And it was much bigger than what I expected. I'm in so much love!

“Psst.” The Pharaoh hated doing this, he really did, but it was almost four in the morning and he couldn’t sleep, again! “Yugi.” He whispered.

“Huh?” Yugi sat up and jumped when he saw the Pharaoh staring at him, “You scared me.”

The Pharaoh frowned. “I’m sorry.”

“No it’s just, I’m still not used to you actually being physical.” He wiped his eyes and blinked a few times. “Why’d you wake me?”

“Well.” The Pharaoh scratched the back of his head. “I have been struggling to sleep the last few days and was wondering, if maybe I could lay in bed with you.” He gave a sheepish look. “Maybe the cot is just, not comfortable enough.”

Trying to process the words, Yugi was still half asleep, he slowly realized what he was saying. “Oh! Yeah, come on.” He moved over, pulling the covers down. “I don’t have school tomorrow, so we can sleep in.”

The Pharaoh nodded and crawled into bed, right next to Yugi. He pulled the covers up, making sure Yugi had enough, and laid his arms behind his head. “Thank you.”

“No problem.” Yugi let out a sigh of contentment, his eyes closed. “I don’t mind, honestly-” He paused. “I miss you being close. I mean, I know we never felt each other, but I miss that feeling in my head.” He opened his eyes and looked at the man next to him, “Am I making sense?”

“You are.” The Pharaoh nodded. “I know what you are saying and I too miss it. But, I do like being able to hug you.”

“I like that too.” Yugi stared at the Pharaoh a little longer, then decided to scoot closer.

“Yugi what are you-?”

Resting his head on his shoulder, his right arm being mindful where it rested, Yugi smiled. “I like this, feeling your warmth, hearing your heart. You’re alive Pharaoh.”

“You’re really alive.”

The Pharaoh stared at the ceiling for a few moments. Alive. Yugi was right. Last week he was a soul trapped in the Millennium Puzzle. Today, right now, he was breathing with lungs, his heart was beating, giving his body blood. He got hungry, thirsty, when he touched Yugi, it didn’t go through him. He...he was alive.

“I am.” A smiled formed on his face and he wrapped his arms around Yugi, pulling him closer.

Yugi leaned into the warm body, the smile growing wider. He relaxed and let the rhythm of the Pharaoh’s heartbeat putting him back to sleep. “Night.”

“Good night Yugi.”

Puzzleshipping headcannon

Yugi and Atem would have their first official date in an escape room. Solving a low-stakes puzzle together and then going for burgers afterward is the perfect date for the two of them. Let's be honest, though. They would solve it way before the timer was up and then spend the rest of the time smooching in the unlocked room UwU.
