It’s not like Yuugi could blame him. He knew all too well the sound of silence loneliness could bring with it. He didn’t need that blanket anyways. If he was being perfectly honest with himself, Yuugi himself felt a lot better having the other in there with him. After the day they had both had, who could blame either of them? Yuugi even damned himself for not offering Atem a spot in his room to begin with. Why had he offered the guest room? This was Atem. Not just any other ordinary person. Atem had had an incredibly rough and wild day and Yuugi had just left him to be in the guest room like that. The least he could do now was to let him sleep in here. And have his blanket all to himself. Again, he didn’t need it anyways.
❝ ... You’re not an inconvenience, ❞ Yuugi mumbled back through the darkness of the room. ❝ I should have offered you to sleep in here from the very start. It was stupid of me not to, ❞ For a few minutes, Yuugi allows silence to settle between them before he clears his throat, turning around a bit on his spot on the bed to reclaim some of the warmth his own body produced now that he didn’t have the blanket anymore. ❝ ... Do you want me to turn up the heat? ❞
