a couple weeks ago i randomly walked into a barnes & nobles and saw this. been thinking about it for a bit and, despite an urge not to give the nyt more money, decided to grab it anyway.
really the nyt games department is doing great and putting out good stuff (the nyt crossword offering is still the best service / subscription for crosswords i've seen after canceling + trying a bunch of other venues and apps for the past year), it just sucks that it funds their often-maligned newspaper. i know most people would just complain about the mini getting paywalled but i think i have broader concerns
but the book seems cool - it has a very sufficient variety of stuff in it for my first time owning an actual physical puzzle book. it'll be nice to have this on some plane rides i have coming up
