hi!! <3 i was wondering how do you study languages using duolingo but outside of the app? (how) do you take notes/make flashcards? how many more methods do you use apart from the app? i’ve used memrise to study norwegian and korean and i want to practice/revise even when i pass the levels bc i want it to stick but i don’t have any ideas on /how to/ :(( have a lovely day/night!

Hello! :) I normally choose to copy down the new words introduced in every lesson. Sometimes the new words are embedded in a sentence so I copy down the sentence as well. And when I get some sentences wrong, I copy them down as well. Duolingo offers some tips as well, and I copy them down when I feel that it's helpful! I don't really use any other way to learn other than writing notes as seen from my posts. Sometimes I teach my family a little French and converse with my friend in French and that's about it. I'm not really sure about memrise since I have not used it before, maybe if any of my followers have used it can help! But duolingo has this streak feature, which encourages you to practice everyday or you'll lose the streak. Also, they have some competition where you can compete for top 3 places and get diamonds which can be used to master individuals lesson packages within the app. So all these encourages me to practice every day! Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! (Not my best edit but whatev) There are a bunch of things I’m grateful for. Breathing, waking up, shelter, FOOD, the clothes on my back, and much more (foood). But here’s something extra I wanted to share with you guys.

I am an anti-social homeschooler. I don’t hang around people everyday, just family. I left a side fandom last year because I felt like I was trying too hard to talk to people and no one wanted to chat. I felt a little down after that.

 I decided to make a Tumblr account this summer because I always find these really funny posts somewhere on the internets. I then look up One Direction posts because why not. I’ve been in the fan of theirs for years. I got really interested in the edits that some people make and I wanted to save them separate from my main account. I then made a side blog (near the end of September). I started getting involved into this fandom a little bit. I’ve been only a fan of One Direction and their music, but I realized I was never involved in their fandom. I was really scared of talking to people because of what might happen from the last fandom I was in. But it was the complete opposite. Y’all nice AF. I’ve made only a few friends on here, but that’s a great start. There are a few people that I would like to thank:

The first person I would like to thank is @pwrlessobvious. I know we haven’t spoken since elections (terrible time), but thank you for giving me advice when I first came on. I’m tellin’ ya, it really did boost me up, you’ll see in a bit. Also also also, thank you for the hiatus posts. I actually look forward to those since I don’t have a phone and can’t always look at Instagram. I actually always look to see the new photos you mention.
