Ruby was in the bakery an hour before she had planned so she ordered chocolate chip cookies and grabbed sweets for the girls. For Weiss she got some cake batter macrons, Penny would get sugar cookies, and Velvet some Zucchini bread.
Ruby paid the shopkeeper, sat down and tried not to think about how his bakery and dust shop were open at the same time of day. Instead her mind went to fear. All of the potential things that could go wrong. She tried to keep her mind off of it with the cookies but her usual safe haven wasn’t working and she started to wonder if this was a bad idea. She almost got up to leave but a cold hand landed on her shoulder and jolted her out of her thoughts. She followed the arm up to the rest of the body and saw it was Weiss.
“Here early AND buying sweets for us? I should start telling you classes are snack breaks so you’ll show up on time” She sat down by the macrons as Penny and Velvet came in and sat down at their respective seats
Surprisingly Velvet was the one the break the ice “So now that we’re all here. What’s the big news that you couldn’t say on the scroll?”
“Yes, I would very much enjoy hearing of this special information” Penny said as she made room on the table for the med kit she brought with her.
“Well......um.....” Ruby could feel the blush on her face growing again. She had been thinking about what to say all day but now that the moment had come her tongue was fighting to stay in her mouth. It didn’t help that they all seemed to lean in closer to hear what she had to say. She could have stammered for hours if her sisters advice didn’t break her out of her state of fear and confusion ‘Just say screw it and do whatever feels right for you’.
“I REALLY LOVE YOU ALL A LOT AND CAN’T STOP THINKING ABOUT YOU SO WOULD YOU ALL PLEASE DATE ME SO WE CAN ALL BE HAPPY TOGETHER!?” She’s positive that Yang didn’t mean that she had to actually scream it at the top of her lungs so the entire block could hear her but at least it was out there.
Her blush was consuming her entire face as the awkward silence seemed to stay there for a lifetime before Penny spoke up. “Well. I find that I have these same feelings towards everyone here as well. I did not expect your feelings to be the same so I stayed quiet to not ruin our friendship.” Not surprisingly she was the most blunt and was blushing the least.
Velvet was quick to join in after that “M-me too....I uh.....I tried talking to Coco about it but I didn’t know how to say it.....” Her blush was almost as deep as Ruby’s
Weiss looked at everyone and then at her partially eaten macron “I can’t believe everyone I know is a useless lesbian.” She gave a sigh before adding “And that includes me.”
Ruby couldn’t help herself. She used her speed semblance to tackle Weiss and go around the table for a giant tackle hug pushing all of them to the floor. They all laughed except for Weiss who was trying to scold her. They all enjoyed their desserts and went to team RWBY’s dorm where Yang and Blake were waiting with more sweets and told stories about how they tried to hide their crushes all day. The End.
