"Start talking!"

Who was this kid? Whoever he was, she appreciated the help. He had caught her outside of the mountain town (Hima, she had heard it called) with a particularly bad injury from before her fall into this world. He had helped her along into the town and taken up a room at the inn. The keeper had sent some child running when they arrived, and Casey could only hope that it was to fetch a proper healer. This kid seemed to know how to treat wounds, but not to mend them. He had gone straight for a panacea and some bandages before barking out the words in an obstinate tone.

“A monster attacked me.” Not a lie, but her voice wavered nonetheless. Perhaps it was simply the pain- the wound burned and stung as he rinsed it with water and medicine. The thicker liquid would relieve her of any toxins passed by the monster’s bite, but that didn’t mean it was painless. She hissed as he worked a rag over the injury to make sure it was all cleared out.

“Couldn’t be one of the monsters in the area. None of them have a bite this wide- they all have narrower snouts to chase prey into the caves and between the rocks.” Oh stars, he knew his monsters? Her throat clenched as she sought to find an answer. “So where did you get it, then? You couldn’t have gotten far with a wound like that.”

Before she could answer, a woman clad in orange robes swept in and the kid stepped aside. The two looked so alike, they couldn’t be anything but family. ( mother and son? no, he called her sis as she asked questions of him ) The woman was quick to triage the wound and then pulled her staff out over it. A healer. Good- wait, would that mess with her heart? There was a moment of panic before the wound seared sharply and then faded to nothing. Casey sighed in relief, feeling her blood finally begin to slow. The woman gave her a concerned look and asked her the same thing her brother had, although more directly-

“Where did you come from if you had a wound like that?”

This was going to be a long explanation.

-Brent Weeks and Paulo Coelho. Brent does amazing world building and magic systems, while Paulo is just a fabulous writer in general! Though, on the RP side of things, I look to the-king-of-the-wind for writing standard. (Kat I swear I will praise you to death!)

I'm all for pointed ears for both tbh. But omg I can totally imagine Zelos just /casually/ going up to them with one of those mini portable fans and /accidentally/ turning it on saying "OOPS!" really obnoxiously to check.

This needs to happen! Genis can give him a good fireball for that.

Now I just need him to try to Raine because we all know what will happen.
