Approaching strangers was always a risk, but it was the only way she would ever find out if they knew anything about the current apocalypse. Truth be told she does both, because it's almost as if her mind never shuts off. There are moments when she first wakes and when she's going to bed that she manages to stop thinking, but for the most part her mind never shuts off.
If she's reading something she's looking down, if she's talking with someone she tends to be looking up because most of her colleagues are taller than her.
For the most part though, if she's given a chance to think about her words and listen to someone she tends to look down, but only after she's taken in the facial expression and body language of the other.
