      it is merely a fall back; withdrawal of his progression for he had not done (or was not caught to be more accurate) in any of his former offenses however ... boy oh boy, the temper’s unremovable and with that inherited execrable uncontrollable conduct he’s relapsing once more. ilseong wants to sob but he is stronger than this. stronger than he believes he is. patience is virtue and he lacks it... lacks it greatly, to an extent that if aid will not be sufficed at the nearing minutes he would lose it, he would snap at someone. lord knows that he has got no god -- quite a recalcitrant boy, obviously so it would be no exertion to impair someone. the scowl on his facade is familiar for he offers it more than often and jaeho is yet another victim of the younging’s noxious attitude. nothing personal in his demeanor --- he is solely unforthcoming. his willingness to divulge information marks quite low because elaborating on how he’s gotten into such vile mishap for the god knows which time is at the bottom of his list of topics to converse about. it hardly does revolve around trust but rather around shame ... his own mortification and self-flagellation that he’s beating himself down in the back of his mind. jaeho must comprehend, mustn't he? behind the dfg gaze that is aimed towards the floor and with fiddled scrawny fingers lays dread, and it is horrendous. he must comprehend... he must.

daiyu was content merely squeezing herself next to the male in the recliner, but she couldn’t help but grin when the male pulls her on top of him, sitting on his lip. laughter escapes her lips when he blows air into her shoulder, arms wrapping around his neck. “oppa!” she pretends to protest, but the way her cheeks warm up and how she can’t seem to erase the smile on her face was big enough indication that she was enjoying herself.

“Sir, stop-- we can’t let you in!!!” he snapped, blocking a man who almost ran inside the burning building to save his son. Chaos started to whirl around the two. The sound of fire eating half of a local elementary school that day couldn’t be more deafening as the east wing of the building starting to crumble, gaining Seunghyun’s attention for a second before he altered his focus back to the man in front of him. As someone who witnessed an important figure in his life died right in front of his eyes, Seunghyun understood how the other man must’ve felt. The anxiety, the anger of not being able to be there for his loved ones, the fear, the bitterness of self-reproach, Seunghyun himself had felt it all. But in his line of duty, he had no time for human emotions. He had to put them all aside and trusted his brain over his heart. “Listen, I promise I’ll get your son to you, safely, but for now you need to calm down and let us do our job, okay?”

Nicholas was getting better at this. Throwing a snowball was no different from throwing a pitch and with Jaeho’s help, the demigod has been improving a little every day. Sports were the only thing he was not good at and although he was embarrassed to admit it was, at the same time, nice to have something to work on and occupy his head. Well, there were things that he could occupy his head with, like, showing up to classes or stopping by his step-father’s company but why waste his time with that when he could be perfecting what could be his signature movement, once he becomes a professional baseball player? He snorted at his own train of thoughts, kind of surprised with the fact that he had some sense of humour within him.

“Eat this, you old bat!” And a snowball was thrown at Jaeho’s direction. If there was one thing that Nicholas was proud of, among many others, that is, was his aim. If he didn’t know better, he’d say he’s a son of Apollo instead of Athena’s. But his blond air and grey eyes left no room for doubts. He laughed when the ball hit the man in the head, leaving him slightly stunned.

It snowed that morning and the streets were covered by a white blanket. Nicholas liked snow. The snowflakes carried more memories within them than the journal he’d write on every sleepless night. But today was different. Right now was different. “I don’t need your help,” the demigod hissed, a strong candidate for the Medusa role if there was one. Nicholas had a strained relationship with his parents: Athena, his biological father and his adoptive one. He never met the goddess but if she fell in love with his biological dad, he doubted she was as intelligent as mythology painted her; on the other side, his adoptive father was a cunning man, more attracted to Nicholas’ wits than the kid himself, and saw his potential. A stone he still could polish. “I don’t need another parent,” another disappointment, Nicholas thought, “Leave me alone.” He threw another pitch against the wall, turning his back on Jaeho and on the black car parking by the court’s limits, the reason why Nicholas did not want to go home that night already walking in his direction.
