having a bit of a pykas moment. show a tiny shred of decency to a guy in the cold and he comes for ur throat smh

An echoes wip from a few years back (maybe 2020?) – I don’t think I’ll ever finish it, so I want to share what I have :3 It was based on a pykas dream, with individually vivid elements that stuck out so much I started drawing (a few notes under the cut)

It all took place in this incredibly blue dusk, on the roof of some elaborate building. It’s a crate of raspberries that gets knocked over, and idk if my brain was trying to mimic the echoes-oranges thing, but I remember the pink being extremely bright and vivid to contrast the blue of everything else. 

It’s been too long and I can’t actually remember what was on the stained glass window. I don’t think it was Mila, I think I just added that to compliment Duma’s inclusion, but it’s been too long to remember now 😅All I know is it really added to the sense of urgency that something so beautiful was broken.

In true dream fashion the characters got muddled around with myself – sometimes I was watching from a distance, sometimes I swapped into either one’s role as myself, but I kept it all straightforward here. I do know that at the end, it was me running to the window to get help (the drawing doesn’t do justice just how warm and peaceful and safe the church/castle interior looked). Sometimes in dreams you try to yell and you just can’t, but what stood out about this dream is I got some really solid, top-of-my-lungs shouts in there. The fact that it was supposed to be Lukas, known for remaining fairly calm and quiet, felt meaningful even as I woke up.
