Turkey saga....
At the end of March, turkey Sophie decided to hatch an egg in a very inappropriate location. Long story short, the outcome was that we ended up with an unexpected baby in the house. Meet Pepper.
The growth spurt started immediately. On the 22nd of April Pepper considers adding shrimp to her diet.
26 days old and already weight conscious. Is she gaining weight fast enough to turkey? Yes, no shrimp necessary. (The shrimp are relieved.)
The Wizzard giving Pepper a lift, May 1st. She is giving him orders, he is amused at her officiousness. "See Mom, I humour the egg child!"

"Do not disturb me while I am working!" Pepper computing on 5-17.

And, finally, Pepper and her roommate, Papaya (aka Little Chicken). June 4th.
After Pepper and Papaya have been properly introduced to the newest batch of chicks the whole group will then be introduced to the Fort Featherly Flock and (hopefully) become one, big, happy family. Stay tuned for ensuing drama.....

Figs goes for an Explore
Papaya discovers that there is a constant demand for “her” salad basket. This is annoying.
Fresh greens have been delivered to the Salad Basket and the ladies are gathering.
Papaya immediately claims the basket as her own, while Pidge and Pick forage about underneath.
How dare you steal my juicy greens right out from under me!
The Conundrum. Should she? Or shouldn’t she?
