What piece of art, or fanart would you say is your inspiration for the violet lantern uniform jason wears?

my version of Jason's star sapphire uniform is an amalgamation of different concepts I thought would be cool/symbolic to include (Nightwings fingerstripes, WW's boot stripe, the arm band Kori had in the 80's) and different fanart I've seen!

(and I also studied A LOT of different hero costumes that women in DC wear to try and keep a semblance of realism to the universe)

What I would say is my biggest inspiration in terms of fanart is @chiclete-com-manga 's Violet Lantern Jason Todd art! (check it out here)

And I also want to take a moment to give a special mention to other AMAZING artists I've seen, loved, and been inspired by while stalking the star sapphire Jason Todd tag!

But in all honesty what I kept going back to as my reference, what I built most of the details around, and what I see as the foundation of his costume is Starfire's uniform from Teen Titans (2016)!

I’m so happy you caught the reference in the title!! The quote just felt so fitting for this story plus it gave me an excuse to mention my favorite book 🤭

Frankenstein references and Jason Todd will forever be a sweet spot of mine; i could deadass write a dissertation about the similarities within the Monster and Jason + Doctor Frankenstein and Bruce.

I’m so glad so many people enjoyed the MLP mentions! I thought it just be a throwaway sentence that nobody really brought up but so many of you loved it!!
