What if Aeon/phantom needs glasses

Absolutely horrible eyesight. constantly squinty and always running into things. Everyone thought he was just clumsy, but mountain is suspicious and one day hands him a pair of big circle glasses and his eyes light up as he can finally see!

mountain has beard scruff in the winter and dew loves to rub his face on it

mountain gets pretty bad hand tremors

it’s one of the reasons he’s so good at drumming, he doesn’t have to be super precise like with a guitar, and he moves his whole arm so it’s less fine motor

this also means that it’s harder for him to shave, harder to cut up his own food, harder to write. his handwriting is atrocious. he really had to learn how to rely on others for things that most people take for granted.

he struggles most, though, with texting. people will be texting in the group chat all day, and he can navigate to the texts most of the time, but actually typing in each letter… on a tiny touch screen… forget it.

the other ghouls think that he’s just not a fan of texting until they witness him trying (and failing) to type something into google. they have never seen him so frustrated.

aether ends up enabling speech to text on his phone and suddenly mountain is the most chatty over text, replying to everyone and cracking jokes. suddenly, their quiet ghoul just got less quiet. it’s a mix of guilt that they never realized how badly he wanted to talk to them throughout the day, but also pure happiness that they now get to experience mountain in the group chat

I don’t think Dew knows how to read

He hides it well, He’s memorized a a handful of words and he knows his logos so he gets by well, but ask him to write anything down and he won’t do it, complaining of bad handwriting even though no one has actually seen him write.

Aether found out about it when he was reading some books out loud to some of the younger siblings/ghouls and Dew popped in to watch. He was entranced by the story, and when Aether asked why he never read it before Dew just got flustered, saying he never had time to read.

However after that day it became nightly routine for Aether to sit against their headboard with Dew snuggled against him, listening to Aether quietly read aloud all his favorite stories.
