Here it is: The Pre Alpha version of my first project, You Will Die. Why release a Pre-Alpha version of a game you might ask? I like feedback, and if I’m making a game that nobody will want to play I’d like someone to tell me before I pour countless hours into it. Please remember, if you try it, it is nowhere close to completion and I’m still working a lot of bugs out.
Introducing: Me
I grew up playing video games. It has been my one true passion for a long time, and games have always been my escape when the world seems too tough. For spending a lifetime in gaming I would like to believe that I am fairly decent at it, but I would be lying to myself. I’m not number one at anything and I have more failed attempts at beating bosses than I have hours alive, but gaming continues to be my passion. Recently my wife bought me a RPG creator (RPG Maker VX Ace, to be precise), so that I could start making them instead of playing and hating them. That’s where this blog comes in. While the games I’ll be creating won’t be next-gen (at least not any time soon), I still hope to take anyone who wishes to play them on a journey with me. Thank you.
Check out all this Penguin Printz love!!! GRASSHOPPER JUNGLE by Andrew Smith and Jandy Nelson's I'LL GIVE YOU THE SUN. Two completely amazing books that are basically similar only in their absolute amazing-ness.
WOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!
(Also, go read them! Your life will be the better for it:)
A little sad Christmas is over? No need to be down—CONTROL goes on sale today and it is the perfect way to spend those Amazon/B&N/other store gift cards you might have gotten for Christmas. Or go to your now-open again library and check it out. Whatever works for you.
CONTROL is unusual and exciting and oh so very smart (in more than one way!) Plus, this cover is completely gorgeous (the picture doesn't do it justice). It uses this metallic ink and the whole thing just glows!
Anyway, a very happy pub day to Lydia Kang's CONTROL!
For fans of Uglies comes a spiraling, intense sci fi thriller.
"Control blew me away. The twists and turns and suspense made for a thrilling ride. Zel is as authentic a character as I've read in a very long time. Highly recommended" - James Dashner, New York Times bestselling author of The Maze Runner Set in 2150—in a world of automatic cars, nightclubs with auditory ecstasy drugs, and guys with four arms—this is about the human genetic "mistakes" that society wants to forget, and the way that outcasts can turn out to be heroes. When their overprotective father is killed in a terrible accident, Zel and her younger sister, Dylia, are lost in grief. But it's not until strangers appear, using bizarre sensory weapons, that the life they had is truly eviscerated. Zel ends up in a safe house for teens that aren't like any she's ever seen—teens who, by law, shouldn't even exist. One of them—an angry tattooed boy haunted by tragedy—can help Zel reunite with her sister. But only if she is willing to lose him.
Happy Pub Day for Ellen Booraem's newest middle grade novel, TEXTING THE UNDERWORLD!!! If Conor wants to keep his family safe, he's going to have to do the scariest thing he's ever done: Pay a visit to the underworld. If only there were an app for that.
