Before and after the  Hunga Tonga–Hunga Haʻapai eruption using Sentinel-1 satellite imagery. Very little landmass above water exists anymore and all of Tonga is like a moonscape with hazardous ash covering it. 

Fresh water is their main concern right now as more and more information is starting to come from the area.

Another eruption has just occurred (2022-01-16) but appears to be smaller in size

The #FairviewFire in Riverside County California has been showcasing some extreme fire behavior and explosive growth. This map combines both VIIRS imagery for smoke and fire on 09/07 and the live GOES West heat for 09/08. Included is an inset with the current evacuation orders and warning zones, with both open shelters marked. #RemoteSensing #GIS
