You said that infant Pythons will mimic snakes, do you have an example of that?

heres a hatchling of the Black-Throated Python i drew for last year! they mimic hognose snakes and exhibit a lot of the same behaviours when distressed. in this case the mimicker and mimickee actually benefit from eachother as Python dragons still retain venom glands as hatchlings!

A lone bull Black-throated Python travels across a prairie to find a forest to feed from.

Dragons can get huge - but nothing quite matches the size of the Pythons. Named for their long necks (and how their juveniles often mimic local snake species), the Python dragons are an example of convergent evolution with sauropod dinosaurs, filling a similar niche and evolving very similar huge size and anatomy. However, unlike many sauropods, they are solitary in adulthood. Endangered due to habitat loss and heavy hunting in the past (despite their size, a lack of dragonfire makes them reasonably easy and worth the effort), and their habitat of choice being sparse forests, they are surprisingly seldom seen.
