Giant Bullfrog (Pyxicephalus adspersus), male, family Pyxicephalidae, Bray, Botswana

Whereas in most species of frog, the females are larger, with African Bullfrogs, the males are larger (most likely because they combat with each other and protect the tadpoles).

She finally has an enclosure fitting to her incredibly active lifestyle! I had no idea she was going to be SO MOBILE. I have a pacman and he ... doesn't do much. This girl motors around, any time I look at her in early morning or late night, she's moving around. She has a heat pad (behind the plant) and two water areas. It stays pretty warm in my room but if the temps don't read right by morning I'm going to invest in some other source of heat, maybe a heat lamp and some fake plants covering the screen lid to make "shade." But !!! I had to take pics before she went and ruined the place. She gets her water dirty VERY QUICKLY. Names on the table are Lilith, Nyx, Nul, and Tabitha but who knows, I'm still trying to figure out which one fits.

Have you played any zoo simulation games (Zoo Tycoon series, Planet Zoo, etc)

I have not actually, but I know that if I were a gamer, I would have definitely played all of those.

I have been thinking about downloading Animal Crossing though!

Here is an animal for you, that I fell in love with from visiting the Fort Worth Zoo as a child, a zoo that I basically grew up in!
