I’m wondering though, is it an adaptation of a fan fiction? I could be remembering this wrong, as it’s been a while since I’ve read it and despite digging for the better part of 20 minutes I couldn’t find it again (rip), but iirc there was a fanfic with a very similar premise! Right down to the many (many) boyfriends and sharing of Starscream’s spark.. or heart, in this case. Although in that one Miko wasn’t really…uh… hm.

I am here to help you find the fic you are looking for. It's called Psychodrama on AO3, and I kid you not, when I first read it, it gave me EMOTIONS I can not even begin to properly articulate.
And then I showed Mod Toon the fic.
And now, here we are.
Mod Toon and I both love Psychodrama and pirates and also the thought of Starscream being able to have many people love him as he struggles to come to terms with the abuse he endured.
And while we both mourn the loss of Miko in said fic, the way the author wrote her death was SO GODDAMN GOOD
