Song Of The Day: Janelle Monae- Q.U.E.E.N ft Erykah Badu

“Q.U.E.E.N” is a great track off a great album in Electric Lady. Janelle Monae is a very talented individual which has manifested itself in ways outside of music like acting/buisness ventures which is a main reason she hasn't released another full length LP since 2013. However the material she's released thus far The Archandroid and Electric Lady are more than worthy of diving into. “Q.U.E.E.N” is still a stand out in her discography with a great funk groove, a festive atmosphere and a lot of attitude about self pride and empowerment particularly when it comes to black women. She also destroys the rap at the end which ends the song in emphatic nature. Great track that leaves me wanting another full length from Janelle Monae.
