What are your plans for the future?

I want to go to college. If I can get a scholarship, that is.

What's your ambition in life besides working in a diner?

But working at the diner is my greatest ambition! Who wouldn’t want to spend a lifetime refilling ketchup bottles and working the graveyard shifts?

No but in all seriousness, I’m pretty happy where I am. Would I love to become a famous singer one day? Have my name in lights and performing in sold out stadiums? Of course. I mean, who wouldn’t? But I also really enjoy just performing in general and I think as long as I get to continue doing that, I’ll stay pretty happy.

where do you see yourself in ten years? would you be married? a kid on the way? fame and fortune in your hands?

Well, yeah, obviously I’ll be famous. I’ll still be living in New York, since I’m never, ever moving back to Lima. I wouldn’t object to being married if anyone was able to tame Snixx.

What do you plan on doing with your life a decade from now?

Well, I’ll be out of college by then, hopefully with a steady job. I’ll probably also be married, and maybe I’ll even have kids by then!

where do you see yourself in 5 years, Blaine? Location, career, friendships.. relationships?

I’ve had a fair share of questions concerning the future and what my hopes are for it but I’ll have to say my answer remains very much the same. I have goals and dreams that I hope to achieve but my one true dream is to be happy. The future is too unpredictable and life can change in the blink of an eye that I rarely allow myself to make long term plans.

For now? I want to graduate, I want to go to college and continue on the path that may lead me to that, hoping I’ll still be in the right track five years from now.

As for friends, I’m sure I’ll meet more people along the way but I do hope my friends —my family— will always be a part of my life because, as cheesy as it may sound, I wouldn’t be the same person if I hadn’t met every single one of them, no matter how close we are or not.

You want kids some day then?

It’s not something I’ve actively thought about or even planned but I do like the thought of becoming a father someday. In due time and with the right person beside me, of course.
