Meet Lane Crowland! My entry for @quillfruit‘s Bachelorette Challenge. She’s 23, a recovering angsty punk (lying, she still is) and lesbian.

Lane was the youngest of two children in a highly ambitious household. She grew up in Oasis Springs, happy and loved for the most part... until she came out to her parents at the age of 17. Kicked out of her childhood home, she moved in with her older sister (20) and then-boyfriend (now husband) and has resided there ever since. While technically she’s a couch-surfer, she juggles three jobs at once (one isn’t legal but it’s FINE it’s WHATEVER) all in the hopes of buying a home of her own. She loves animals and worlds that are not her own, burying herself in books and comics.

Lane is far from perfect. With a self-destructive streak a mile wide and a tendency to blunt truth, she’ll say whatever she wants, when she wants, how she wants, which has led her to a great deal of trouble in the past. Despite this, she’s capable of loving completely and without hesitation, and caring deeply for the people who have won her trust. If that trust is broken however...

some facts about lane:

-   she was in a relationship before, however it ended badly, and she’s never            been the same since.

-   she tries to be as independent as possible, and hates having to lean on              others

-   she’s pretty much capable of befriending any animal she comes across

-   she despises people who lie, and she can tell if you are, so just don’t
