Istg qfanon hellers have spread to other fandoms like brain-eating mushrooms. 🙃
i don't normally do fandom wank but seeing the age-old tradition of violently hating an actor because they play one of the characters in a non-canon ship you don't like makes me want to claw my eyes out. they're grasping at straws to shit on jared from what i can only describe as a pavlovian sam response.
and they're always so violently against accepting that jensen and jared are real life friends too, with the fabulous evidence of...one twitter fight from like three years ago. on top of that, jensen is the one who's been negative towards destiel but because he's one half of their ship and fanfiction=reality so he's off the hook.
i don't care particularly deeply about any of the spn actors nor do i claim to know what they're personally like but obfuscating what we do know and calling for harassment is just gross.
Frankly, it's what we call qfanon behavior. There is so much groupthink and behavior control within their culty groups that reality is nowhere to be seen. Some of them genuinely have mental health issues, but refuse to see it, and you can't really force it because it makes people double and triple down. Unfortunately, their actions still have real world consequences. 🙃 It genuinely worries me sometimes about people's safety. Anybody who's dipped their toe in true crime know many famous people have been killed by people like this.
(And don't even get me started on how they somehow blame JARED for the "jivorce"/TW announcement fiasco. Utterly ridiculous. Jared has forgiven Jensen and they're good, so it's whatever, I'm happy they're good because I enjoy them together; but in no way was Jared in the wrong for being hurt. Who of us with an anxiety disorder hasn't had a public blowup with a friend and then regretted how public it was? But considering the circumstances, I don't think it was that outrageous. They want to blame the lack of popularity of TW on Jared when the truth is the show was just bad.)

Since when was Jensen “blind sighted” (I believe they mean “blindsided”) by the confession? I thought it was made clear that he was told months before it happened, he even had his permission asked. If he was so against it, it wouldn’t have happened.
In reality he didn’t actually have to be asked at all; he wasn’t a producer or a showrunner or a writer. But the courtesy was extended, even if it ultimately wasn’t about his character.
My take is unpopular in both of the extremes of fandom.
On one hand, you have people who think it was deliberately concealed from Jensen and he was blindsided by it and couldn't refuse it. On the other hand, you have people who believe that Jensen wanted to make Destiel canon, but was stopped by evil CW censors.
What really happened is that Jensen famously does not like to read ahead or know about future plot points. A lot of plot ideas never go anywhere and he just wants to focus on what actually films. Berens had to fight for it and there was a real chance they were going to say no.
If you look at the scripts we have on Superwiki and listen to actors and writers talk about the industry, 3 months is early. When Jensen got the script for 13.21, he was upset that Dean left Sam behind, but he read it too late to change anything.
Jensen also doesn't need to do anything for the scene. Misha needs to know about it in order to play his character correctly, so Berens made sure that Misha knew at the beginning of the season.
So the Casfession wasn't concealed anymore than 13.21 or any other script was concealed, but the opposite, in fact. Jensen had the option of reading the earlier versions of the scripts if he wanted, but he didn't do it because it messed with his process.
Everyone involved acknowledges that if Jensen had refused, they wouldn't have shot the scene. Jensen also wasn't censored. He was able to lean into the scene as much as he wanted. He was also working with RSJ and he ranks above RSJ, so if he really wanted to change the blocking, it would be much easier for him to do it than arguing with Singer, which he did do for 1520.
