“What exactly put you in the right mind to do this?”
A familiar voice would pull him back from his disheveled mind, soft yet held a tone stern enough to serve as an anchor.
Again, Error tries reaching the bottle.
“tHis..mma-mind. Nnow, givee me.”
A disgruntled whine would resound from the skeleton when his hand only caught air.
The tendril retracted back to its owner despite the glitchy grumbles of protest.
The guardian sighed at the destroyer’s antics. He took the bottle from his own tentacles and into the hold of his hand.
“I think that is enough for you.”
Another noise of complaint, filled the silence that hung shortly in the air.
Fuzzy, mismatched eye lights flickered to Nightmare’s face with a glint of who knows what— paired with a frown to complete the expression.
Nightmare’s nasal bone furrowed. “Enough is enough, you are tipsy-”
A small yelp cut him short.
Said latter had closed their distance for another attempt at getting his hands on that beverage.
Nightmare raised his arm high up and far from greedy hands.
“I dd..didn’t even..! drink hh-half ooh..of it!”
The glitches that surrounded Error’s figure buzzed with no direction, you could not quite tell whether it was reacting to their proximity or not.
The spirit carefully used his free hand to grip the side of Error’s sleeve to try and coax him to stop.
“You barely finished a glass and you are already slurring.”
He felt Error stop shifting against him. The destroyer had stopped his attempts. He is only staring at Nightmare now.
The guardian took that as a chance for more scolding. “We both know how awful your tolerance is.”
“-so what made you do this?” His eye socket narrowed in question.
“Did one of those three bribe you?” A muttered but audible assumption. “If it is chocolate, I can get you more-”
“Yyouu…look, ha… Sstupid.”
That breathy giggle made Nightmare pause. “Excuse me?-”
"Shh-shutup, j…just kiss mme.”
That definitely had him taken aback.
Nightmare’s cheekbones turned a shade darker— completely frozen.
That reaction pulled another puff of laughter from the glitch’s grinning mouth.
He could not help it. The negative spirit just looked so stupidly pretty under this lighting.
Then, Error would lean in closer.
Just before their mouths would press, Nightmare took a hold of himself and used both of his hands to prevent Error from moving closer.
All the while one of his appendages had slithered around the bottle to take the role of holding it.
Nightmare’s eye socket was wide, flustered surprise written all over his features.
That was not a yes nor a no.
Without giving the pouting destroyer a moment to speak again, he continued on— stammering a bit at first.
“H..How about this.” The guardian cleared his throat. “if you go to sleep now and remember this…”
“I will give you chocolate and, uhm. Kiss you.”
That seemed to have caused Error to light up.
Hence, required less effort to get the destroyer to bed.
Error gripped the side of his skull with a low groan as his vision adjusted.
“I see that you are awake.”
Mismatched eye lights darted upwards.
Nightmare sat on the couch on the corner of the room while Error sat on their bed.
They were in the spirit’s (and destroyer’s) room. Nothing new.
“I…It’s sso dizzy.” Error grunts in displeasure.
“Do you recall anything?” The guardian almost blurted out with no eagerness whatsoever.
Error rose a bony brow. He stayed silent for a moment to remember— but to no avail.
Everything was just a blur. So, the glitch replied with a small “Nno.”
Error missed the way Nightmare faintly deflated.
It was not like the guardian has been sitting there waiting for him to wake up. No such thing.
“Dd…did I do ss-somethin’ stupid?” The destroyer muttered out as he bowed his head to rest it in his hands.
“…I would not say stupid.” Error heard, the voice not sounding as far as before.
He let out a half-hearted chuckle.
Nightmare would only give a hum, not exactly giving him an answer.
From where Error had his head down with eye sockets closed, he heard shuffling.
“Would you like some water?” Nightmare’s voice was closer.
The glitch lifted his head up, eye sockets fluttering back open.
“Pplease..-” He froze. Upon turning his skull to the direction of the other’s voice, a mouth pressed against his.
The kiss ended as soon as it started with Nightmare immediately backing away to give Error space.
With a satisfied smile, the guardian then excused himself.
“I will be back with water.”
The spirit left the room just like that,
leaving a flustered and certainly puzzled destroyer with a hand on his mouth.
