Forgot to commemorate the final orbit of my 30s with a ballpoint pallanoph doodle. Off model Qiara isn’t real, she can’t hurt you!
Character, art, and all things ‘noph belong to yours truly.

Forgot to commemorate the final orbit of my 30s with a ballpoint pallanoph doodle. Off model Qiara isn’t real, she can’t hurt you!

back on tumblr after actual years and rediscovered @pallanophblargh ‘s lovely blog and critters and had to do some sketches. I love Qiara, especially her poofy mane, but I can’t seem to grasp the physics of it!
I don’t know why it’s purple or why I can’t finish a sketch for the life of me.
Species and character belong to @pallanophblargh .
quick piece of my petitioner, qiara, for @gehennamgame ! making her a lotogh was a given and i realise all my character designs tend to follow the same trends but.,. i am okay with that
The annual ballpoint pallanoph in celebration of clinging to this rocky sphere for one more year (despite appearances) was delayed by a few days. Oops! I’m not dead, just growing older.
Art is still hard, but this runs on autopilot sometimes. And sometimes, that’s enough.
Wondering why I’m choosing symmetry for a linocut when I know damn well symmetry hates me. (I’m stupid, that’s why! No, it’s because Qiara looks neat from this boring angle.)
Doesn’t matter. It’s okay to fail the mirror test. Besides, it’s been fun. The print will look goofy and that’s how it is. So what.
But hey, it’s technically art that’s got a ‘noph in it. Win.
Just an unimpressed looking Qiara portrait to channel my current mood. This month do be getting me feeling like that.
It’s hard to render an imaginary creature realistically, but I tried!
Trying once more to get back into art, so I picked at a sketch I hope to turn into a ukiyo-e styled piece. (I don’t have woodblock printing supplies so I will be using other methods) Still not sure about the composition just yet, but I like Qiara’s pose.
Going to do some color and style studies next, I suppose.
A really roughly compiled, scatterbrained ‘noph dump. My head is full of holes and this is the flavor of rot that currently inhabits it.
Featuring Nok poses, Neng’s accidental expedition to the compost pile (cut short by Qiara), and Qiara having An Accident (that just so happens to give her a scar AND a cool girlfriend.)
Nok still needs her markings sorted out and I am every kind of ashamed. I’ll keep working on it.
