somehow, writing Jiang Cheng from Wei Wuxian’s POV is a lot harder than writing Jiang Cheng’s POV and I suspect it is because he is so terrible at communicating and writing a bad communicator from someone else’s POV is a real challenge, particularly when the other party has forgotten how to read a lot of his signals

I have ever learned traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy when I was a child. The Chinese traditional cultural elements have been very attracting me. When I saw the variety of absurd things in the name of development happened in today’s China, I instinctively think of our ancestor’s attitude towards the ideal and desire. So I used the questions I asked myself as the titles of ‘Whose……’ series paintings. I think that the self-salvation may do not look powerful, but it may be the most practical solution.

Fire -- Garden, Qing Yang

Yellow, blue, red and grey. These 4 color stand for the 4 major elements of the Universe, earth, water, fire and wind, which dominate everything in this world, appearing and vanishing. The structure of Ice is very unstable. It could only exist in the specific external conditions. When the conditions are satisfied, we could see the beautiful ice cubes and things coming along with it. However once the condition changes, everything will disappear. And actually, the world we rely on and our precious lives are exactly the same. In the ice cubes, there are beauty, ugly, love, anger, cheat, mercy, persistence, vanity and desire …… all of these, people, things, problems and conflicts, are inevitable to us ever since the day we started to develop our perception. We will have to face, think, pursue and be longing for. However, as the impermanence comes, every single thing will be disappeared in the same way as the Ice.
