Because we all know the fandom classics and they are awesome, but they are also the easiest to find, while there are others that are equally deserving of attention and much more difficult to dig up. So here we go!
a hostile new carthage, by KillerFrostBite. Summary: The fastest dissolving game of Monopoly ever attempted. Featuring not one but six dick jokes.
This is!!! I don’t usually laugh out loud when reading to myself but in this case i did because it’s one of the funniest fics I’ve ever read. Basically it’s the legends being ridiculous over playing Monopoly, but everyone is spot on. The same author has other good stuff worth checking out!
Measuring Up, by violentcrumbles. Summary: In which Mick owns a bakery, and Len is secretly a professional restaurant critic who loves Mick's pastries, but will never say that to his face.
It’s no secret I’m a ColdWave shipper so this couldn’t not be here, and I am surprised it hasn’t reached 1000 hits yet because it’s amazing! AUs have a tendency to be out of character, but in this case they are themselves. And in these times of hardship when they treat our Mick like shit and Len isn’t even on the show, we need some sweetness for them, and what’s best for that if not a bakery AU?
Mob Ties, by dragonspell. Summary: Before the events of The Flash, Leonard attempts a job and gets caught by the owner. They have a chat. Past Coldwave. Some non-consensual touching.
This is a delightful little piece about Len’s past. dragonspell writes the best explicit coldwave is always brilliant, but they understand Len, and it shows. It hurts as it’s meant to, but ends in a hopeful note, as I like my angst.
