UK 1990
One of my combative residents was sundowning hard last night and we were having a tough time getting her into her pajamas. She decided to grab me by my neck when I was spotting her while she was standing up and yank with her full body weight. Luckily I was braced and in good alignment so she didn't hurt my neck but today I woke up with a stabbing pain between my shoulder blades that's making it really hard to breathe. It's likely just a pulled muscle, but it could've been much worse. This same resident likes to get ahold of people's hands and try to twist their fingers pretty viciously, she kicks and stomps people's feet if you get close enough, she's dealt me and a couple of other people some pretty good bruises (including a couple of black eyes), and she will bite anything she can, including other residents.
