Danish rock legend, Kim Larsen, introducing his performance for Queen Margrethe II of Denmark's 70th birthday celebrations in 2010. In 2006, Larsen declined the Queen's offer of the Knight’s Cross of the Order of the Dannebrog, saying that he disapproved of the notion of bestowing personal honours, and of the monarchy in general, but stating that it would’ve been “nice to smoke a cigarette with the Queen”. When asked why he would perform at her birthday when declining the order, Larsen replied, “well, I don’t mind the lady!”
