Woke up way too early one morning and stumbled towards the market looking for breakfast because the streets were already kinda buzzy and I hadn't eaten much the day prior due to my schedule. Found this stall at the back, sat at the counter, asked if it was cool if I ordered a full-on dinner dish at 6:30AM, they said something along the lines of 'yeah, that's a breakfast of champions', hooked me up with a free bowl of caldo and a who-knows-what's-in-it emoliente, slid a dish of limes my way, and made sure I tried some of their salsa criolla because they were proud of it. Woman working the kitchen came around ten minutes later and handed me a hot pound-and-a-half plate resembling dinner, I gave her a thumb's up on the onions, and then she gave me more.
Was still halfasleep, sitting on a slightly-too-short plank of wobbling wood, gulping something suspiciously medicinal, listening to the murmurs of the market. Some point near the end of the meal there were some bananas (they're in the picture, barely) sitting precariously on a shelf that cannonballed into a vat of unknowable whoknowswhat underneath and the liquid splat everywhere. They laughed and gave me enough napkins to clean off my glasses.
