Hobie sat up from his lounging position to a sitting one.
“I’ve got lemon and lime, tick and tock, so what’s your barney rubble?” Hobie asked.
“Let me guess…that means?” Gwen said.
“What’s your trouble?” Hobie asked with a smile.
Gwen breathed in a sigh, and let it go for a beat as she collected her thoughts. Screw the watch or surveillance or whoever she was paranoid was listening.
“Do you think canon- no, do you think fate can change?” Gwen asked.
“Now there’s a question for near and far” Hobie said.

Hobie Brown, Earth-138B’s one and only Spider-Punk, was the first friend she made when adjusting to her new life. When they first met, Gwen thought he was incredibly cool. A guitarist, a comedian, easy-going, thoughtful, and deceptively smart. With cool piercings, a laid-back personality, and confidence mask on and off, Gwen dared to hope after meeting Miles, she could try to make another friend that was like her. She almost laughed thinking back on the first time they met.
‘You must be Gwen; I see you’re a right fan of metallics too’ Hobie said as he tapped his eyebrow piercing with a smile.
‘Oh-ohh yeah totally ahahah, metal amirite?’ Gwen said with an awkward punch in the air.
If there was any time Gwen wished she could use Miles’ powers to turn invisible, it would be now.
‘Hahahahah you’re a cheeky one, aren’t you? I like you, m’ name’s Hobie. Hobie Brown’ Hobie said with a laugh and a smile as he extended his hand out to her.
Gwen sighed in relief as she took it with a smile and shook it.
‘My name’s Gwen, Gwen Stacy’ she said.
Since then, when the two weren’t off doing their own missions, they were often seen fooling around and loitering around HQ together. She was grateful for it, and it made everything seem normal.
