My interpretation of the Superbat relationship is Batman struggling to commit because he’s worried Bruce Wayne and Superman being together might put them both in danger. He also has commitment issues. It’s basically:

Batman: This relationship is casual.

Superman: We have a child together!

Batman: A casual child.
