Hmm… let’s see. Whenever I’m cooking at my apartment alone, I like to pretend that I have my own cooking show despite the fact that I’m a mediocre chef at best.

First glances were not promises, but threats. Alexander needed to slip out the back, but he didn’t know the way out. He wasn’t familiar with the location at all and before he could spent a prolific amount of time regretting the decision to come, he quietly slid out of his seat and looked for vacancy and exits. Options in general, in order to escape. The breaths of the men following him could be felt on the back of his neck. So close to him. He reached one of the workers for assistance.
"I need to get out of here–" "Look,"
In a series of quick motions and adrenaline rushes, this complete stranger was the only thing that managed to slow time for a short second. It was almost a comfort, a blanket of sleep on the busiest of nights. But even those have endings. “I don’t have time to play tour guide.”
"I’m not asking you to show me the place!" Alexander immediately rebuffed. He ran a haste hand over his lips and murmured beneath them, "There are a few guys coming."
The stranger quirked his brow. “If you have people chasing you, maybe you should be caught.”
But this stranger, he didn’t throw Alexander to the wolves.
Compassion, sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. Or in other words, a word that did not exist in his vocabulary. Granted, there were few occasions where he would convey such emotions towards another during their time of need, but it wasn't often. It's only when the vampire is sympathetic enough that he would aid someone in need. Other than that, you could kiss a helping hand goodbye, maybe refer upon someone else for assistance. If their heart is big enough, maybe they'll spare some of their time for you. However, this was not one of those times.
He refused. Of course, you could expect that much out of him, but what you wouldn't expect was to see him giving in. This stranger was short on breath and the men tailing after him didn't seem like they were going to drop charges and proceed elsewhere. Should he help him out, or should he ditch him—leave him for the wolves. Wolves. A species that has been the long time arch nemesis of vampires for centuries now. Perhaps he should stick around. He'd certainly get a kick out of it.
"I'll help you."
With that being said, Luhan turns himself away from the man. He thinks it'll be fun. Realistically speaking, whenever he found himself running from a group of predators, he'd actually enjoy it. The thrill of the chase, ah, he certainly isn't normal.Turning his head over his shoulder, their gazes lock, even if it doesn't seem friendly, he could be trusted. He'll assist this tall stranger, get that pack of mutts off his back. "Come with me if you want to survive."
[ just another day. ] | Y&A
There comes a price with being raised on a pedestal by everyone who had met you. That pedestal became a gilded cage and the minute you decide you need to make your own money instead of continuously swiping your adoptive father's credit card. That went about as well as one would expect. Arguments. Locked in the attic. All form of joy stripped.
The usual.
So what's a girl to do in a moment of distress such as this? Easy, she storms into the first major company that piques her interest and demands them to hire her. Note to everyone else: Do not ever try that ever. Luckily, this girl had luck and the interest of the CEO on her side, originally made a lowly errand girl at the tender age of eighteen, Yolanda gradually made her way up the ladder with the prowess and subtlety of a cat, never wanting too much power but always wanting to be close enough to mingle with the rich and powerful.
At twenty-one, she had become as conniving as any competing CEO but had begun to care too much about her boss, Alexander Liu, to even consider the thought of having him "taken care of" as some would put it. Yolanda's heart may have been a simmering pit of darkness but the elder was one of the few people she was truly loyal to. And she knew he would not enjoy her being over an hour late, the pouring rain making it near impossible for her cab to so much as drive half a block without hitting another traffic jam.
Just another day in this wretched city, but that must've been the crankiness talking.
As Alexander would say to her often when the comparably small woman had begun working under him, "There's no excuses for doing wrong." Brown eyes rolled every time he would say it to anyone. But as Yolanda stepped out the elevator, rain coat was immediately tossed behind the chair of her perpetually clean desk as she pulled out her tablet. Just in time to catch coffee for the boss and herself on the newest errand boy who's name was a blur in the back of the secretary's head, not important, not worth remembering. "You're late, and you know we both hate decaf, slacker." She sighed, dumping the decaf in the trash just outside Alexander's admittedly lavish office with a roll of her eyes.
As per usual, he was furiously typing away at his computer, likely another negotiation for some humanitarian project or another, or a declination to yet another social event. "Now, with all due respect sir, I'll have you know I scheduled your appointment with Park Geun-Hye's diplomats, got roundtrip tickets to Taiwan for your expansion meeting and sacrificed my morning coffee for you so if we have a new errand boy by tomorrow, you know why." Yolanda gave a coy smile, flipping shoulder length hair behind her honey colored blouse as she set his coffee down. "And a good morning to you as well, Mr. Liu."
Barista life~ II Alexander & Shinhye
Shinhye walked into her managers office with her script which she normally had to do when she started a new drama. She sat down and her eyes widen when her boss told her she sucked. She listened to him as he explained she wasn't playing the poor girl right enough. He began to explain that she would have to work as a poor person for a couple of weeks to learn how to play one.
She sighed the next day when she walked into her new job as a barista and began to walk around asking for orders when she noticed a businessman siting at the table she was going to next. "Hello sir"
"Make me."
Stammering she parted her lips only to close them right after, taking a moment to think before she jumped on the male- clinging to him with her legs around his middle, so she could tie part of his hair up in a ponytail. After she jumped down and snickered, covering her mouth as she ran off. "So cute!"
I'm eating cantaloupe with chopsticks 'cause my ex-girlfriend didn't even bother to leave the DISPOSABLE UTENSILS I had tucked into the drawer.
And she took the box of tampons I bought, UGH! Not even the tampons, y'all. ):<
