I met someone at work today and.. tis a story.
So, the first time we talked was when I was "delivering" tape for the security people and they helped me to find the person that requested it. The firt thing they did was compliment my bracelet (rainbow bracelet from 2018 pride) . so yes, they are queer.
We got to talk more and more throughout the day and at some point it just came up that they are gay and we kinda talked about all of that a bit. we are both living cliches. (in case you didnt notice, they are cool).
At some point tho, I did something extremely stupid. They told me how useless they are in relationships because, even thou they are gender x (not nb, I'm just trying to not out them here) but still they don't get how to "satisfy" people of that same gender.
My stupid, ace brain automatically went "satisfy is usually used in sexual context, so maybe you tell them you are ace, so they wont assume you're trying to "Get with them" right now" So I said "I'm asexual, I haven even less of a clue than you do, probably".
Turns out, they didn't mean it as "sexual satisfy them" but mostly "understand what they want in general.
And now they think, the first thing my mind went to when they talk about relationships is SEX.
Now I can't forget this and feel weird every time we talk. like I shold clarify why ny brain even went that way in the first place... but without the topic coming up naturally in conversation, it's just gonna make it more akward and aaaargh
