Glad we had plotted a lot for our twin verse and they’re really cute and hella nice to talk to. @leftoverquirks - LUCY!!!! We haven’t spoken much (Curse you timezones!!!!) but I’m absolutely glad to have been able to plot a twin verse with them as well! They make me weepy because of the recent angst we had and I love reading their threads!

Why did he come here? His chest feels tight, and he can only stare at her. Despite everything, despite the dye and the scars, she still recognises him. She still knows who he is. His mother still knows him.

His eyes sting with a now unfamiliar sensation, something he hasn’t felt for a long time. He hasn’t cried since long training sessions with his dad, his quirk searing at his skin. He feels warm now, the fire simmering just beneath the surface. Everything feels too hot, and he knows he’d be burning to the touch. He needs to get it under control, needs to cool down before he hurts someone.

Is she pleased to see him? He can’t tell. All he can think about is all the ways in which he failed her. He wasn’t able to help her. He was never strong enough, was always too weak to do anything. A quirk that didn’t work with his body, and so obsessed with proving his worth that he was never able to do anything for her.

The excuses feel so weak, now that he’s here in front of her again.

He doesn’t even notice as the tears finally begin to fall, catching on the staples. He’s not sure if he’s managed to get his quirk under control when he stumbles forward to hug her, he just knows its what he needed. “M-mum,” he says. “Mum, I’m so sorry.”

“I don’t know what happened to it, I’ve always been really careful with my garden but this poor little thing seems to just not want to get better.” She’d tried everything, buying new supplements, changing the dirt in her pot, Makaira even re-planted the greenery closer to the sunlight to keep a closer look on it through her dorm window.

Nothing seemed to work.

“Maybe the plant food I bought was expired? I don’t know..”

“Do you think there’s anything left to do? I wouldn’t want to cut it’s life away if there’s still a chance for her.”

“Ey, ah.. Momo-san, would you mind helping me with something?” Scratching the back of his head Kirishima shifted from one foot to another, looking bashfully away as he held up a bag of hair supplies and dyes.

“I uh, I was going re-touch my hair during break back home so my mom could help me out but, I lost track of time and..would you mind giving me a hand?”

“It would be just in the back cause I can’t reach that far and I wouldn’t want to miss a spot.”

He’d been staring at her for a while, noticing how she averted her gaze from him yet every time Izuku turned away she’d turn to see him. It was as if there was something bothering his friend and he wanted to know what it was. She’d done so much for him, the least he could offer was an ear and a word of advice.

“I just, you’ve been distant lately..like something is occupying your mind.”

“If you need to talk about anything, y’know I’m always going to be here for you, right?”
