plot drop one: i gave you all my blood
The moon hung over New York City in a perfect crescent. Autumn meant that the leaves were changing, pumpkins were beginning to decorate some stoops. It was an average evening, nothing was out of the ordinary. After making a business deal, Dax Liulfrssen and Tessa Clarke were setting up the new pack brewery, part hobby and part added revenue to help with the wolves. It was a night that was meant for hard work and joking.
The lights flickered in the brewery, which caused both of them to pause, Dax looked to Tessa with uncertainty. The lights showed no sign of electrical issues so both resumed working. When they flickered again, they stayed out, and it was then that everything went black for the pair. When they awoke, Tessa was chained by silver and magic to a chair in a balcony looking over an empty warehouse. Dax was coming to his senses at the same time, a scream coming to his throat. It was then that Tessa realized that he had been bitten by a wolf and was being forced to change. She watched, strapped to the chair, as the inner wolf tore Dax apart. She watched him fail to survive his first shift.
Meanwhile, in a separate part of the city, a young witch with weather manipulation was compelled into releasing a serum into the sky, and starting a smog to set over the city. The mist drifted into every corner of the space, forcing werewolves to shift against their will, and forcing vampires to be consumed by bloodlust.
As chaos took over the city, Leo Satellius and Julienne Cromwell set out to attempt to regain control of the space. People were bursting onto the streets, fleeing for their lives from the supernaturals that were running amok. Call of the Void was Leo’s first target, heading into the spot that hosted a mix of supernaturals. The mist had only just begun to setting into the club. The DJ of the night, Silas Kolter, felt his bones snap, his eyes going to Catriona Murray. With a flick of Leo’s wrist, he stunned the young wolf, and opened a portal that dropped Catriona back into her home and to safety.
The moment of distraction, was all it took for Ryder Dawson to let the bloodlust consume him, and with his long time enemy in his sights, he sunk his teeth into Leo. It was Jules and a young witch named Charlotte Erikson that were able to subdue Ryder with magic. From there, Jules and Lottie set out to help humans and witches escape from the supernaturals.
Police were beginning to flood to the scene. In his office, Lieutenant Rhett Hawkins was in the process of pinning his badge to his chest and strapping his gun to his hip when the mist overwhelmed him. Quick thinking on the part of Delilah Reyes resulted in a tranquilized bullet meeting its target, incapacitating the vampire before things got out of hand.
Across town in Patty’s Diner, human waitress Marley Rowan found herself pinned between the gaze of Aurelia Verdugo and Alaina Eisler, both beginning to lose focus and find themselves victims of bloodlust and uncontrollable shifting. Doing her best to help, Eleanor Logan unleashed her powers, setting the curtains ablaze and starting a fire that allowed she and Marley to escape Patty’s Diner with the help of Roy Santos.
Across town in one of the bays at Mileage, James Parker worked on a vehicle, with Sidney Daines and Kathryn Atkins lounging on available workspace. The mist took its time to reach them, and when it did, in the flurry of fighting between the two species James found himself trapped underneath the car they had pushed halfway off of the lift until the next morning, when he was found by the pack.
The disturbance was felt early on by Ari Lefebvre, the feeling of time slipping through her fingers as the plates shifted and crashed, shattering around her. When her eyes opened all the glasses in her house were broken, and she had something of seen what was meant to be hidden. Reaching through time, she was able to locate Virginia Anderson, and the two set out to find Tessa and Dax. Ari was able to cast a time bubble around Gin to keep her safe from the mist. When they found the warehouse, it was too late. Tessa recalled nothing but seeing Dax forcibly changed and a shrouded figure that smelled like a vampire. The scene where she was found confirmed that it was a vampire attack.
It wasn’t until sunrise that the mist lifted and all returned to normal.

If your character was affected by the mist, they have no recollection of it.
Tensions are now high between species. If your character already dislikes a species, it would be heightened, and even more tolerant characters will have an unease of other species.
Dax Liulfrssen was killed.
Leo Satellius has been mortally wounded.
Police will now be chasing the person who was responsible for this.
