quadrobics gloves
im considering making some quadrobics globes that both provide cushion and some extra length to my arms.
im thinking that i would just glue foam to the bottom of some cheap gloves but shape the foam in such a way that the angle above my wrist would be obtuse instead of right or acute. my wrists and hands would be straighter in relation to my arms and more of the physical shock of quads would go into the ball of my hands and the foam rather than my wrists if that makes sense.
i’d like for the gloves to give my hands an extension of a solid 3-6 inches.
i would also cut up some old shoes and take the rubber bottom and slap it on the bottom of the foam so that the foam doesn’t get as damaged or dirty. like attached outdoor shoes, basically, so that i can use them outside. maybe i’d even coat the foam in something flexible or try to waterproof it eventually.
does anyone have a recommendation for a specific type of foam to use or anyone other tips or ideas? i want a foam soft enough for a nice landing (nicer than hardwood at least lmao) but firm enough so that i don’t feel like im sinking with each step and stride. im not familiar with working with foam and any contributions are much appreciated.
the gloves probably wouldnt be very nice-looking, but im going for function rather than fashion
i’ll be sure to post about them if i do eventually get to make them!
