I’d Share My Orange With You

Wangnan furrowed his brows as he peeled his orange, trying to get all of it off in one shot. It was something he had been perfecting for years. He cheered triumphantly when he had the perfect orange curl, before he dunked it in the nearby trash.

Suddenly, something came crashing into his back, making him fumble with his orange. Turning his head, he saw a grinning Quaetro, hugging him tightly, chin on his shoulder.

“Heya, chick! How’s it going?”

Wangnan smiled. At first he was completely unnerved by Quaetro, but as the years went by they had become incredibly close. Wangnan was astonished when he first caught a glimpse of what was under Quaetro’s chaotic facade. The kind, exuberant person he could be.

“Hey Quaetro,” he smiled, ruffling his friend’s hair with the hand not holding the orange, “I’m just having a snack”.

“You know,” Quaetro trailed making grabby hands at the orange, “If you really liked me, you’d share”.

“Well good thing I really like you,” Wangnan smirked, shoving a segment of the orange in Quaetro’s open mouth.

“See, chick,” Quaetro chewed loudly, “This is why I love you”.

Wangnan stopped dead. What did he just say?

“I said,” Quaetro giggled maniacally, “That I love you”.

“Oh,” Wangnan blinked, turning around to face his friend, who looked completely unphased, “Like love or like love-love?”

“Oh my god,” Quaetro grinned, pinching Wangnan’s nose, “You’re so cute, you’re like a little kid”.

Quaetro leaned in close, pecking Wangnan on the lips, before he pulled off and started skipping away, “Guess!”

Wangnan brought his hand to his lips, blushing furiously, before he got up, dropping his orange, and started chasing Quaetro, “Hey, get back here! You can’t just leave it at one!”

He caught Quaetro, twirling him around and kissing all over his face. By the end of it, both of them were giggling messes.

“I love you, too,” Wangnan grinned, “Enough to share all my oranges with you”.

Let Me Ramble At You Guys About This Crack Ship Please Ship It

Okay hello birdies! It’s a wonderful day for ship propaganda!

Speaking of birdies, I’m gonna be rambling about Quaetro Blitz and his chick Wangnan Ja. My discord outvoted me so it’s now called KFC or Fried Chicken

The reason why I love Quaetro and Wangnan so much is that they are such a good balance for one another and bring out sides of each other that are regularly not shown. Wangnan gets Quaetro’s respect and Quaetro can bring out Wangnan’s more serious protag side, which we can see in this scene.

But I can also see Quaetro able to pull Wangnan after his intense rumination and survivors guilt that he has been shown to have. Remember when Wangnan exhausted himself training after finding out Viole was being blackmailed? Quaetro doesn’t seem like the kind of person to let that happen.

And I think Wangnan can drag Quaetro out of his This is All Fun and Arson mentality and get him to care about more than just climbing the ranks and setting things on fire.

Also they both are very affectionate, with Quaetro being a big nonbeliever in personal space, especially with people he’s close to, and Wangnan wanting the people he cares about to know he cares.

Just imagine Quaetro constantly demanding piggyback rides from Wangnan and Wangnan doing it because of course he would.

Also, them just chilling on the couch cuddling and eating snacks, and Quaetro demanding a kiss for the bag of chips. They are just really good at balancing each other out while still having fun and enjoying each other’s company.

Now just random cute things:

Quaetro demanding Wangnan do his pigtails for him, and doing Wangnan’s hair up in pigtails too. Wangnan wears them all day because he loves his bf

Wangnan helping Quaetro find positive outlets for his arson-y and destruction tendencies. Like one day he finds one of those destruction rooms where you can pay to destroy stuff for an hour and he takes Quaetro and of course things get far more destroyed than originally planned but as they get escorted out Quaetro’s like “this was the best date ever”

No personal space on both ends. They are always touching in at least some small way, if not Quaetro absolutely draped over Wangnan

Quaetro helping Wangnan out after nightmares, holding him as he offers to burn down everyone who ever hurt him. Then they play video games and Wangnan feels better

Sometimes when Quaetro is feeling explodey or angry he storms up to Wangnan and just hugs the shit outta him and screams into his chest until he feels better

Quaetro giving Wangnan really weird but earnest compliments like “your horns look sharp enough to impale someone” and “your teeth remind me of a big wolf lemme see”

Sometimes Wangnan feels bad and just smooshes Quaetro’s face and things dont seem as bad after. Quaetro is confused but supportive

Besides the fact that chick is in reference to the chicken Quaetro ate, they are totally a cutesie petname couple

Quaetro: It’s just... Adults are boring. And I don’t want to buy all this boring adult stuff so we can become boring adults.

Wangnan: Hey, listen to me. Yes, we’re gonna buy a dish rack, and shower curtains, and a cutting board. But if you think for one second that I’m not also gonna get that marshmallow shooter so that I can shoot you in the face when you’re asleep... Then you’re the dumbest person I know.

Quaetro, choked up: You’re going to make me cry.
