We had some fun looking at a few copies of QUAERE, a former student newspaper from the UMN Law School. Here's a glimpse at the January 1975 issue.

Murder Monday: While doing some digitization we ran into this little bit of noir in the pages of the University of Minnesota Law School’s old student newspaper, Quaere. Be careful the next time you’re looking for an old casebook at the end of stack 2211...
Throwback Thursday: I truly love our collection of old student publications, and Quaere continues to be my absolute favorite!
While doing some research for our next exhibit we came across the story of Carl C. Meixner, a graduate of the Class of 1919 who was still a practicing attorney in 1983 at the age of 93! So kids, if you want to be in it for the long hall like Carl, do your daily sudoku, eat your vitamins, keep up with your R.B.G. workout routine, and you just might make it!
Quaere - Frolic & Detour: As many of you seemed to enjoy Murder Monday last week, with its content from the old UMN Law School Quaere student newspaper, we thought we’d give you more wit & creativity from 1978. This week we’ll be asking for, “Just the facts ma’am” as Madden and MacCormick work the night watch in the mean hallways of the Law School.
"Ladies and gentlemen: the story you are about to hear is true. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent."
