I was feeling poorly the other day, and Round Birds always cheer me up, so I whipped up a quick, tiny California Quail print! He's hand-drawn (as opposed to my usual traced-from-a-reference-image approach) so he's not the most realistic, but he did end up Really Cute.

(Also, sorry to the people who followed me expecting mostly ds9-related content, I've been in a cute-birds kind of mood these days 😂)

The results of my newest art project - he's a snowflake bobwhite quail! I figured he'd be a nice chance to practice doing more detailed pieces, and after 4 days of carving (which nearly wore out my hand) I'm v happy with how he looks! Just a round ball of feathers with little dinosaur feeties!

More birds! This is a teeny tiny linocarving (and subsequent print) of a California Quail! They're one of the most fabulous-looking birds in existence in my humble opinion, I absolutely love the little feather-bobble they have on their heads!!
