Heads up fellow artists ! If you get contacted by @/qualityinfluencerpirate , its a scam. Making a post as i tried looking up their username and nothing came up. I'm always wary of people, who have never interacted with me before, so i start right away saying i don't do the "draw my kid or pet" thing, as its the most popular scam here. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt as they were actually interacting with me and not following a script.
I asked them for a similar picture of the "friend" but they said they couldn't because of privacy ... huh? but you just gave me , a stranger online, a full profile picture and now you worry about privacy ? Also them saying they wanted everything to be very "secretly" and not being able to do invoices.. Yeah that hits all the boxes its a scam. Hints to know if you're talking to a scammer : - They just met you and want to give you money. No one sees your work for 3 seconds and that's enough for them to hire you. A real potential client, that likes your work enough to pay for it, has seen your art before and follows your accounts . - They only have 1 picture of " their friends , pet or family" .. when in doubt , ask if they have more. Scammers steal pictures from online sites so they only have limited. A real client has more than 1 picture of their family or friends. - They NEED your paypal email to do the scam -"payment". If invoice or other payment methods that don't require you giving your email are a problem.. yeah its s scam. A real client will work with you to be able to pay you. If they just neeeeeed your email, block them.
