this character is Vaughn, from a story idea I've had for a while called Silent Mile, which takes place in 1890. Basically, there was this saint-like character with strange powers that allowed him to heal the bed-ridden with a single touch, and to see into the future. His name was Victor, and he was a prophet gone mad. Long story short, he was cut into pieces.
One of those pieces, was the brain, or as I have it written down as, "The Mind." A character named Dr. Sullivan Torusa - whom I still have to flesh out - dug up the locked box containing the mind. Victor was just an obscure "myth," that he was eager to explore, and upon finding the mind, he spent days examining it as a part of that myth mentions some kind of "power" within the body parts. What he didn't expect, is over the course of a few days, the mind began slowly forming a bone structure, muscle, even organs.
What it formed was Vaughn (a name given by Sullivan); a man nearly identical to Victor, except he had these strangely luminescent blue eyes, and an off-putting, emotionless demeanor. Sullivan described him like a machine. Despite basically being a newly born person, he had learning capabilities that surpassed most adults. It was like everything he was exposed to he could understand, given just a little time.
Vaughn eventually ran away from Sullivan in search of the rest of Victor's original body parts (the only one he is in possession of at the start of the story is "The Hand," which can heal anybody it touches. Vaughn, on the other hand, uses it as a weapon. Think of a slightly less destructive version of Idle Transfiguration from jjk).
But anyways, the point is that they are basically a machine searching for the rest of their body, at any cost, without humanity.
(all of this is still not the most fleshed out thing ever so sorry if there's anything odd in my writing)
