in the wiki its stated that “She was worried that if she had many children they would fight for the crown”
hc: as young flowers, i think her and her brother had some rivalry here and there. (arguing, saying some very not nice things to or about one another, even perhaps fighting over the throne.) her fear of her own children fighting over the throne originated from these incidents, especially in the event of her brother wilting and “The Darkening”. she did not want a repeat of those events and did not want a sequel to The Darkening
hc: Croacus III was born much smaller than typical royals. the small pot he was put in in this image is typically for common folk floros. (yet he is too small and his roots have barely grown.) it’s canon he was born with a disease.
ive mentioned this in tags before but adding this here anyways
his mother loved him very much and did everything she could for him, she did not want him to see her as a “queen”, or a higher authority, but as his mother. he doesnt remember much about her as he ages, but her servant floros do tell the young king all about her. how wonderful she is, the way she looked at him and cared for him like no other, the way she even sang to him on nights where he squirmed and could not sleep
