Can I take a minute and appreciate Queen Latifah? Portraying an image of a successful, mature black woman in so many movies, who falls in love with some of the FINEST black men?? (Djimon Honsou, LL Cool J, Common, etc...) And yet, her characters are so well rounded and well written that she can experience emotions without getting ridiculed as an angry black woman on screen? And off screen, carefully building her name with her Queen line, and other brands?
