Over 1.8 million people signed a petition to stop Trump’s state visit to the UK.  This is after thousands took to the streets in protest the day after he was sworn into office.  And today the UK government “look forward to welcoming President Trump once dates and arrangements are finalised” and they believe “the President of the United States should be extended the full courtesy of a State Visit.”  Because “HM Government recognises the strong views expressed by the many signatories of this petition, but does not support this petition.”

It’s not a surprise.  Not because HM Government has fought tooth and nail to stop the elected UK Parliament having any kind of say what-so-ever over Brexit by using the Royal Prerogative to leave the EU with no Parliamentary vote, input, scrutiny, or input.

Although it is for the same reason.  Government can only function if it has the power to impose its will on the people it governs.  Queen May has already extended the invitation to Trump.  Demands to rescind it are a direct challenge to the government’s power. 

Only the government can steal.  Only the government can murder.  Only the government can threaten.  The job of the police is to ensure that private citizens can’t impose their will on others--protecting other private citizens from having will imposed upon them is a convenient side-effect.  That’s the government’s monopoly on violence.  Only the government can use violence to impose its will.

This is no different.  This is the government exorcising its monopoly on violence to impose its will.  This is the basis of government.

We can only hope people remember this in three years time when they call an election.  The only power we have is to choose a dictator that’s to our liking every five years.

I love ranking stuff because it helps me sort my thoughts and opinions and so today I would like to Rank Ash's female companions from favorite to least favorite. Now before I do this please keep in mind that I do not hate or dislike the last girl on my list, (Which is my opinion and does not reflect the views of others) she's just not my favorite. so without further ado I give you my Ranking!.   [Note: Favorite is #1 & least favorite is #6] 1.) May: (My Queen!! I’d serve her forever) Despite being her own person, she is a lot like Ash in personality and they have similar habits but I just love her because I just do and I relate to her best. she's special in her own carefree loving way and she's just the best! I love this girl so much!.

2.) Misty: Her favorite type of Pokemon is my favorite, plus she's not afraid to speak her mind and she's strong. she is sweet but she has a very good sense of justice and she's loyal. I love Misty to pieces! 3.) Bonnie: Simply adorable! Loyal, could be Ash's little sister if she wasn't Clemont's. I've always love Bonnie but it wasn't until the episode titled (in the dub) 'A Cellular Connection' that she gave off the Ash vibe and I can't help but root for this character. 4.) Dawn: Intelligent, feisty, adorable, cute and funny and much more. Dawn is not perfect but she has a way about her that I love. out of all the previous companions she's the first one I would like to come back for a few episodes even a head of my queen May. I just loved her and Ash’s friendship. 5.) Iris: When I take out the fact of how she belittled Ash all the time, Iris is a most wonderful character; I love her connection with dragons and I love her interactions with Cilan because she believes in the impossible when he needs proof (but I love my Clian to pieces, make no mistake!). 6.) Serena: Kind, helpful, loyal, & beautiful. I appreciate her for determination and everything she does and her crush on Ash is adorable.

So there you go, my ranking of Ash’s female companions; most of you won’t agree with me but since it’s my opinion it won’t bother me. Peace PokeFans!!
