Omg where'd you get the clothes for your avitar in xenoblade!! All I can he is the army gear.... ._.

Do normal missions (sidequests) or the basic missions from the terminal.  You get different clothes and awards depending on which one you complete.  For example, completing Mia’s first quest gives you the school uniform.
