1) If you had one movie you needed to watch or one book that you needed to read before dying, what would it be?
Right now I'm in that phase where I am not reading because I can't find a book that I can latch onto, so this is a movie. About Time is my favorite film at the moment. It's funny and sweet and it makes you think about how you could live each today better than yesterday. How much the time you have with the people around you is so limited, you have to make the best of it. And the way the time travel is used in this is so wonderful that it's not cheesy and "oh look its a time travel movie". It's a wonderful film, highly recommend. It'd make me think about how well I'd lived my life.
2) Have you ever had a favourite stuffed animal?
As a kid (and now) I loved getting new stuffed animals and plushes but I never got attached to any of them. I would have a few that I would love a whole lot for a week, then move onto the next stuffed animal. So no.
3) Do you play any instruments, if so then what and if not then do you have an instrument you’d want to play?
I used to play the piano. I had to stop because my teacher was the accompanist for the high school's musical. I wish I had gotten into something like the drums. Any kind of them. Bass, snare... anything. I find that arm movement so incredible, it takes a lot of stamina. I have a lot of respect for drummers.
4) Is there a character or actor that you really want to be best friends with?
Emma Stone. She's hilarious. And she seems so down to earth as well. I feel like we'd feed off of each other in humor and stuff. I love her. Definitely Emma Stone.
5) Do you watch musicals, and do you have a favourite one if you do?
(Did you write this question just for me?)Do I watch musicals... HA! I'm only in love with musical theatre. The love of my musical theatre life is Newsies. I love Newsies. A lot. The story is so powerful, how these kids decided to change their world and make their dangerous living better. To fight for their rights. And the music is so wonderful. Alan Menken is a genius. I'm always listening to the soundtrack, ask anyone who follows me on Spotify. I tell people I love Newsies constantly. To the point where people tell me "Yeah. We know. Shut up."
6) What is your favourite TV show?
Umm... I really don't know. I don't really have an all time favorite. But I always seem to come back to Once Upon a Time and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Buffy was something that my mom would get a season for me from the library and we would binge watch it over three days. We tore through it, even when it would get weird (I'm lookin' at you musical episode). And then Once Upon a Time right now is that show that I'm always wanting more of. They are reinventing these classic stories and twisting them together in ways you'd never imagine. The characters are fun and diverse and have great stories (other than the whole everyone is pretty much related thing).
7) If you were to ever have kids, what would be the one lesson you’d want to teach them?
That all people are equals. That no matter who they are, the color of their skin, who they love, what they like or don't like, they still deserve kindness and respect. That you should be kind to the grumpy bus drivers, or the tired Disneyland Cast Members. Everyone has something they have to work through, so be nice to them.
8) Where do you want to travel to the most?
If it's a Disney park I want in. I've told myself ever since I was little I would visit each of the Disney parks around the world, no matter where it was. But I also would love to see the Himalayas. I have a family friend who climbed Mt. Everest and I think I'd like to see that. I don't want to climb, no way, but I would love to be able to see that culture and the mountains.
I really like Shirley Temples. Those are really yummy. I would get those all the time when I was little. The syrup and the Sprite is so yummy. I know it's meant to be an alcoholic drink, but the virgin version is still on point.
10) Would having a female lead in a video game make you not want to play the game?
Umm no? I think I'd want to play it more. There aren't enough female lead anythings out there, so I want in on anything that does. So fuck you Ubisoft. I'm gonna play a game with a cool lady at the helm.
11) Do you have any posters up in your room?
My room is covered in posters. If you mean like movie/thing posters I have quite a few of those too. I have: two Frozen posters, Brave, Monsters University, The Brain Scoop (signed by Emily Graslie and Michael Aranda), Brit Floyd (Pink Floyd tribute band), a Disney Princess one, 3 Catching Fire premiere posters (Katniss, Peeta, and Finnick), a shit load of play/musical posters for shows I've been in or seen, American Hustle, My Drunk Kitchen, a signed TFiOS poster, Finding Nemo, How To Train Your Dragon 2, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Young Frankenstein (movie, not musical), one with a funny looking raccoon with a pun on it, and then some small Disneyland ride posters. But my walls are COVERED in random pictures form magazines and pamphlets and cards from friends and art. My room is crazy.
I am very sorry this is so long. But now I guess I make questions?
1. If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
2. Do you collect anything? If so, what?
3. Have you ever been to a Disney park?
4. Who are you rooting for in The World Cup this year?
5. What's your favorite quote?
6. What is your favorite form of entertainment (TV, movies, concerts, stage shows, ect.)?
7. If you could change your skin color, what color would you make it (not just natural tones)?
8. Star Trek or Star Wars?
10. Who has been the most influential person in your life that you do not personally know?
11. If you could experience one moment of your life again, what moment would you choose?
