Prompt! ^^ Hartwin & “Keep sweet-talking and this could go a whole new direction.” 💕

Merlinsighed in exasperation. Why, why must he be the best friend of such anoblivious old twit? The way Harry could turn a blind eye to even the tiniest ofEggsy’s signs of interest was beyond him. This boy was so blatantly in lovewith Harry, Merlin failed to understand why Harry didn’t see it. Or if he sawit after all, why didn’t he do something about it? He could encourage and finallyopenly reciprocate the affection that was flowing from Eggsy’s eyes, or hecould demand that the harboured feelings had to be buried. Having been Harry’sbest friend for several decades let him see through the carefully crafted maskbehind which the man tried to conceal his true self, however, so Merlin knewperfectly well that Harry was over the moon for his mentee as well.

Helooked down at Roxy who wore an expression of irritation as she cast an annoyedglance at Harry who was praising Eggsy’s weapon skills yet again. She sighed and traded a long-suffering look with Merlinwho shook his head in shared sullenness.

“Youknow, you’re such wretched creatures,” the tech wiz huffed.

Harryand Eggsy turned around and raised their eyebrows at him.

“Excuseme?” Harry said. “What on earth are you talking about?”

“I’mjust saying. Keep sweet-talking and this could go a whole new direction.”

Eggsyadopted a viciously mischievous smirk. “And what tells you that we’re not alreadyheading in that direction?”

Everyonelooked at him, one with an indulgent smile, the other two copping the needle.

“Whydid I even remark on it, why?” Merlin muttered, placing a hand on the small of Roxy’sback and steering her away. “Let’s go somewhere we’re not constantlyinterrupted by soppy idiots.”

Nevertheless,Roxy sent an encouraging wink at Eggsy over her shoulder before she wasshepherded off, and Eggsy replied in the same way.

“Thatwas cheeky, my dear boy,” Harry commented as soon as they were alone.

Eggsyshrugged. “Anything to taunt Merlin, right?”

Harrychuckled. “Well, he has a point, you know.”

Eggsyheld his breath and looked at his mentor in anticipation. Please.

“Wecould, um, deepen our friendship, couldn’t we?”

“Yes,we definitely should,” Eggsy replied a little breathlessly. “And I think we shouldstart right now, don’t you?”

Harryhummed in agreement, raised his hand and drew it tenderly along the line of Eggsy’sjaw to tilt his head slightly upwards, then dropped an affectionate kiss onpetal lips. Eggsy’s arms wrapped around his neck, and Harry knew that this wasthe right decision.

Harry crossed his arms and pursed his lips. “Eggsy, asdearly as I love you, if you buy that revolting thing, I’m leaving you.”

Eggsy, hiding his grin in the corner of his mouth, turnedaround and raised an eyebrow. “What’s the matter?” he asked, playing innocent,although both of them knew that he was far from being oblivious. He met Harry’sunfaltering, even hostile, stare with perfect ease and a brazenness thatbordered dangerously on a minor war.

“Eggsy, put it down again. I forbid you to spend money onsuch rubbish.”

“It’s not even that expensive,” countered the young man,glancing down on the treasure he had unearthed at the jumble sale he haddragged his spouse to.

“That’s even worse. I will not allow that to cross the threshold to my house.”

“Our house,” Eggsy corrected him, unperturbed. “I’d buy itonly for your sake.”

Harry inhaled sharply. “Mysake?” he hissed, slightly affronted by that suggestion. “I don’t want that!”

Eggsy smiled sweetly up at him. “You’re right, not yoursake. I meant for Mr Pickle’s sake.”

“I don’t understand.”

“Well, we can put it in the downstairs loo, then poor old MrP won’t be alone any longer. I am astonished that you never thought about somethingto keep him company.” Eggsy contemplated his purchase-to-be once again. “Yes,”he nodded, “this will do very nicely.”

Harry opened his mouth to contradict him, but he didn’t seemto find the words he was looking for. “But,” he cast for something sensible toreply, “but, Eggsy, it’s hideous!”

Eggsy chuckled at the desperate tone the older man’s voicehad adopted. “Doesn’t matter, love. Mr P won’t mind. Look, I’m sure he’ll loveit.”

Harry shook his head and tried to step in his husband’s wayas Eggsy tried to catch the attention of the woman in charge of the till.

Sometimes, Harry still resented himself for having given inso easily. Of course, Eggsy was the most important person in his life, and he gladlykilled to save him and reassure his happiness, but this unsightly toilet lidwith the hand-painted picture of a pug looking up at the one entering thebathroom really was too much.

For the '50 OTP Things': 42 & 43 for Hartwin (✿ ♥‿♥)

42. Who is the neat freak?Believe it or not, but after years and years in a less than tidy flat, Eggsy’s had enough of dust and dirt. Thus, he makes sure to clean the house he shares now with Harry who (who would have thought) could be unbearably messy at times. Finding Eggsy with a dustcloth in his hand is not so uncommon a sight, and one that Harry secretly enjoys. There is one thing that Eggsy is not so fond of, though: hoovering; and he tries to coax Harry into doing it for him by offering him to undertake the ironing in return.

43. Who wins the stuffed animals at the carnival for the other one?(Just so you know: I have NO idea about weapons andsuch shooting games, but I tried nevertheless.)

Harry had allowed the Unwin-siblings to drag him along tothat fairground, and he had to admit that it was lovely to see them so fascinatedby all the different stalls selling their goods. He also noticed that Daisy’seyes went huge and round when they passed the shooting gallery where a largewhite unicorn with candyfloss-pink mane and tail was marked at the first prize.He cast a look at the stuffed animal and wondered if he should attempt to winit for Daisy, or if he should give Eggsy the advantage.

“Eggsy,” he said casually. “See that unicorn over there?”

Eggsy turned his head and immediately understood the realquestion Harry was asking. “Oh yes,” he grinned. “Daisy, shall we try our handin shooting that magical horse for you?”

Daisy squealed with delight. “Yes please, Eggsy.”

Harry hid his smirk behind a curious expression as heinspected the man behind the counter. How perfect that Eggsy was spurred on bybrotherly ambition, so he could check the degree of manipulation marring the accuracyof those rifles.

“Well then, would you like to take the first shot?” heoffered and fished out his wallet to slip a bill across the counter.

The stall’s owner even had the indecency to sneer atthem. Ha, little did he know that his customers were two trained and highly skilfulmarksmen. He was in for the high jump.

Eggsy took the already locked and loaded rifle and checkedit once more, which had the owner frown in disapproval, but when his gaze fellon Harry, who was observing his reaction with a cold expression in his usuallywarm brown eyes, he swallowed his protests and stepped back to give Eggsy accessto the colourful little plastic discs.

Grinning triumphantly Eggsy took aim and fired, but, as Harryhad already suspected, he missed. He quickly calculated the degree of riggingand waited for Eggsy’s second shot to confirm his computation.

“Damn it,” Eggsy hissed under his breath. “That weapon’sbeen tempered with.”

“Of course,” Harry confirmed in a murmur.

Daisy looked up at her big brother with somedisappointment in her eyes, but Eggsy tried to reassure her. “Don’t worry, princess,we’ll win this unicorn nonetheless.”

“So sorry to disappoint you,” the other man said, barelyable to contain the glee in his voice. “The unicorn can only be won with fiveflawless shots.”

Eggsy flashed him an angry look, then took aim again. Healready hit the second target, and the rest of the shots were strikes as well. Grimlyhe passed the rifle on to Harry who had already paid the proprietor for a secondround.

“Hang on, I’ll load it for you,” the other man offered,but Harry had already broken the barrel down and held out his hand for theammunition.

“I’ll do it myself, thank you very much.” He smiledsharkily and reached for the cartridges in the stall owner’s hands, and, havingloaded the rifle, broke the barrel up into position again.

“Now, let’s see,” he muttered and adjusted the butt againsthis shoulder as he targeted the red discs hanging at the opposite wall of thestall. All five shots, fired in rapid succession, were direct hits, and Harry straightenedup with a satisfied smile curling his lips, whereas Eggsy and the other manstared at him with their mouths slightly open in awe and shock respectively. Daisy,however, clapped her hands, and her smile could have lit the whole fairgroundas she hugged her champion somewhere around mid-thigh.

Harry patted her soft blond hair and winked at Eggsy, thenhanded the weapon back to its rightful owner.

“I do believe that you owe us that unicorn,” he remarkednonchalantly. He waited until the huge plushie was surrendered to him, and heproudly conveyed it to the happily laughing girl.

“Thank you, Harry, you’re the best!” Daisy exclaimed andcuddled the unicorn that was nearly as big as she was herself.

With a polite nod to the shooting game’s owner, he turnedto Eggsy, holding out his hand to him.“Shall we?”

Eggsy’s eyes sparkled with mirth. “Yes,” he nodded andinterlaced his fingers with Harry’s before stepping up to him and pressing hislips against the taller man’s lips. “Well done, Scaramanga.”

For the '50 OTP Things': 3 & 4 for Hartwin ( ˘ ³˘)♥

Hmm, let’s see.

3. Who hogs the cover/ Who loves to cuddle?Most nights Eggsy wakes up because he feels a bit chilly, which is no wonder when he is left without a blanket, and he consequently has to try and extricate the duvet wrapped around Harry. It doesn’t bother him that much, however, because it gives him the perfect excuse (not that he needs one) to snuggle up to Harry. Harry, sleep-warm and slightly startled to be stirred awake, only groans and admits Eggsy into his cosy cocoon.

4. Who wakes the other one up with kisses?Eggsy is always up with the sun, even if it means that he starts (quietly) to rummage around at half past five in summer. He enjoys waking up to Harry still sleeping next to him. Rolling onto his side, he smiles and regards Harry with love shining from his eyes, and he cannot believe that there are miracles still happening, but there is Harry, believed dead and returned to life, to him. Gently he strokes the back of his fingers along Harry’s cheek before bending down and following his touch with a kiss. Being a relatively light sleeper, Harry usually turns his head just so that their lips lock, although the kiss is soon broken because both of them are smiling.“Good morning, beautiful.”

Prompto huffed out a deep breath that made Noctis raise his eyes from the textbook in front of him. There had been a lot of sighs around Prompto recently, now that he thought about it. Noctis started to wonder what was troubling his best friend, but as he himself was one to clam up whenever he was asked about his emotional state, he was rather uncomfortable inquiring other people about their feelings. Prompto, however, was very different, so maybe he should just give it a try?

“What is it?” Noctis asked tentatively, earning himself a piteous moan.

“I don’t feel like working today,” Prompto whispered, carefully checking the other students occupying the school’s library which was supposed to be an oasis of silence.

Noctis couldn’t hide a small grin. “How’s that? I thought you landed your dream job working in that photo shop.”

Prompto sighed again. “Yes, I did,” he confirmed, still looking miserable. “It’s not the job, really, you know. Actually, I really love it. But –,” he hesitated, “there’s so much to do right now. With training and school and work.” He slumped forward onto the table. “I feel like we miss out on so much time together.”

Noctis blinked. Come to think of it, this was true, he supposed. Since Prompto had persuaded Gladio into training with him so he felt comfortable enough to apply for the Crownsguard once he turned eighteen, his time to spend with Noctis had drastically declined, what with working part-time at a really fancy photoshop in the centre and learning for school. Although Noctis was used to being alone, now that he had made a true friend, he refused to give up so easily. Life was not getting between them, there was always a way to fight.

“You’re right,” he mused, sitting up straighter. “You know what?”

Prompto looked up, a shadow of hope glinting in his purple eyes.

“I’ll walk with you,” Noctis decided and closed his book. “And after work you’re coming over to stay the night. We’ll finish these essays, have dinner and then we’re going to continue playing our videogame. What do you say?”

Prompto let his head sink back onto the table top. “It sounds like heaven,” he murmured, smiling up at the Lucian Crown Prince.

Noctis got to his feet and started to collect his stuff. “Well then, up you get. There’s work for you to be done.”

“Yes, your highness,” Prompto saluted fondly, which Noctis acknowledged with a graceful smile.
