I know you aren’t fully leaving the show, but a thanks still feels in order. TSAMS has been a huge part of my life for the past two years, and seeing you leave the fandom in any capacity was a pretty big blow. Not only to me, but to the community. Your characters and storytelling have been wonderful to experience, and have helped me through some really tough spots.
Earth specifically means a lot to me. She is probably the most relatable character in the entire cast, and has helped me process a lot. For example, Earth really helped me embrace my more feminine side. I’m genderfluid, and I used to have a lot of trouble on days I felt more feminine. Seeing her just being herself, wearing pretty clothes and liking things such as Barbie, was really healing.
And that’s just a small thing. She has helped me through so much. Her current arc with the Dark Star Power in specific. About four months ago, I became physically disabled due to some extremely bad after effects of Covid. Seeing Earth go through something so similar so soon after my own experience? I cried. Several times. I have never heard a fictional character use the words “flare up”. I also have difficulty doing basic tasks that require standing for long periods of time. Representation is so important, and she made me feel so seen.
I will stop here, before I ramble anymore. Thank you. Everything you have done on these shows has meant a lot. I hope you feel better, and that you don’t have to deal with anything like this ever again.
